23 years of increasing levels of responsibility in generalist human resource management roles at national and international companies operating in the consumer goods, chemical and pharmaceutical industry, engineering and in pharmaceuticals wholesale. Lastly from 2003 till 2010 in charge of METRO Group’s  Corporate Human Resources Management department. As Vice President Corporate Human Resources corporate-wide responsibility for strategic HR-Management, international HR-policies and labour relations (group’s works council, European works council, national and international trade unions, ILO), vocational training , personnel controlling and HR-processes and –systems. Wide ranging  experience in building and leading HR–teams in multinational companies, planning and executing large scale organisational and cultural change processes and managing labour relations with works councils and trade unions at national and international levels. Since September 1st 2010 self-employed as Interim Manager and Consultant.

Excellent professional competencies and achievements in building and leading of HR-departments, in providing sustainable orientation of HR-Management under the special consideration of demographic change and in managing of cultural change processes on large scales in national and international companies.Numerous articles and lectures about role and organisation of the HR-Management function, leadership in international corporations, demographic change and management of ageing workforces.

Member of the scientific advisory council of the Duesseldorf Business School from 2002 to 2012.

Member of the board of the company network Das Demographie Netzwerk ddn  from 2006 to 2012, chairman of the ddn-board from March 2008 to March 2012.

Member of the body of experts at the German Commission for UNESCO since September 2010.
